If Smith was fairly certain that the man he saw was Gerry McCann then why did he and his wife produce e-fits years after the event that bear little resemblance to Gerry? Why not simply say "draw a picture of Gerry McCann" to the person compiling the efit? Why when presented with the finished e-fits did Martin Smith not reject them as being not nearly similar enough to the man he was fairly certain he saw, and whose face was readily available to him to refer to at the click of a mouse on a computer?

I remember that on UK InJustice, you illustrated the point with a quite brilliant analogy: why would anyone produce an efit of the Queen?
