I don't think Madeleine wandered out either. What child of almost four would close the patio doors and gates after them?
I remember reading online about someone saying if Madeleine had wandered out she would have been attracted to the bright lights of the Ocean Club and would have gone there.

Top Maddie cop slams trolls for harming tot's siblings – calls for police action
A TOP Brit detective has lashed out at trolls for attacking Madeleine McCann's parents Kate and Gerry and creating a "vile cesspit" of allegations.
Jim Gamble was the UK’s top child protection police officer in the UK and heavily involved in the initial search for Maddie.
The experienced cop spent years examining the case and analysing evidence – and has now called for the police to step in over Kate and Gerry's abuse.
The tragic tot disappeared from her family's holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, on the evening of May 3, 2007.
British and Portuguese police afterwards launched an enormous operation, but the desperate hunt continues 12 years on.
Since then, sick trolls have made allegations about Kate and Gerry – despite their being no evidence to support their claims.
The family have been relentlessly abused on social media, with keyboard sickos posting cruel jokes and baseless theories on Facebook and Twitter.

Mr Gamble helped Gerry draft a statement during the initial investigation.
He told Daily Star Online: “The trolls take the view that Kate and Gerry can ignore Twitter and not go online, but that is in essence harassing someone from a public place where they have every right to be.
“The hypocrisy of the trolls that really gets me is: they hide behind anonymous names, they rant at the parents, and they do so claiming to be child protection advocates – to be only interested in doing what’s best for Madeleine and children.
“Yet they’re failing to grasp the irony that S*** and A***** (Madeleine’s siblings) will now be at an age when they’ll be occupying online spaces.
“And every time they search their names or search anything about their sister, they’re going to come across this cesspit of vile comments that these self-proclaimed child protection advocates – who are in essence trolls – have left there for them.
“I remain disappointed at the police’s failure to hold those who are clearly committing offences of criminal harassment online responsible.”
S*** and A***** are Maddie’s twin siblings, and were born in February 2005, meaning they are now aged 14, so highly likely to be aware of social media.
They were two years old at the time of their sister’s disappearance on May 3, 2007, and are thought to have been asleep during her disappearance.
Cops are still trying to trace 13 suspects seen acting suspiciously in and around the resort before Madeleine’s disappearance.

Media buzz over the weekend centres on Portuguese police being “closer than ever before” to solving the mystery of what really happened to Madeleine McCann.
Quoting Correio da Manhã (which hasn’t actually a recent story), British tabloids say talks have gone ahead with British officers “on the new prime suspect”, which appears to be a “foreign man in the Algarve at the time of the youngster’s disappearance” over 12 years ago.
Says the Mirror, cops working on Operation Grange – the Scotland Yard investigation that has to date spent over €12 million looking for Madeleine – have travelled to Porto recently “to discuss the investigation”.
But it’s all “very secret”.
“Only the police know who the suspect is”, explains the Mirror – and “it is not clear if the suspect’s current whereabouts are known”.
The story has been duly picked up by media sources throughout Europe.

I shouldn't look at the cess pits evil posts but did and saw this comment by plebgate - Roll on 2020. I can't wait to type the words ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST yet again.
That says it all doesn't it, they don't want Madeleine found, they don't want news that the abductor has been caught, all they want is to carry on their tortuous lies against the McCann's. These people are not human they breath noxious fumes from each other, living for each others acid comments. How can they rest at night, do they congratulate themselves on another day of victory, hounding a family who have lost their child

Exactly WR! They have no interest in a missing child. People like this are almost as bad as abductors they find pleasure in a child being abducted when all said and done. They like to criticize the McCann's for getting more attention than say ben Needham's family (who actually did get a huge amount of publicity for the time) yet every single time a family gets media coverage they descend on them like a pack of vultures. I have already seen nasty comments online about Nora quoirin father. People Iike thus just see vunerable people in the media as fair game and think they can get away with it by dressing it up as concern for a child.

My two year old once opened and then closed fully two baby gates. I didn't look for them past the gates as obviously the gates were closed so they can't have been there. Except they were. It was indoor gates so no harm done, but if they had been outside gates I would have thought an abduction had occurred as I "knew" they couldn't open and shut gates like that.Whiterose wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 12:01 pmI don't think Madeleine wandered out either. I remember reading online about someone saying if Madeleine had wandered out she would have been attracted to the bright lights of the Ocean Club and would have gone there.

I would be dubious about an almost four child opening a child gate on steps in the dark then turning around to close it on the steps in the dark though scooby.

I don't think there's much doubt, you've actually got to have been there to have any inkling of what others going through a similar trauma are experiencing.

I agree it's not likely, but it's far from impossible. Personally I think given the attacks on children in homes in the area and the break ins and Joanna ciprianis disappeared the chance of a child missing from that block and never being found being found being due to her wandering off in a built up area are next to nill.Whiterose wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2019 10:35 amscoobydoo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2019 10:05 amMy two year old once opened and then closed fully two baby gates. Yes. It took them a while to find Nora, but eventually, they did. I tend to think, if anything similar had befallen Madeleine, she would have been found, too.
