Maddie McCann misses: Ex-chief investigator admits errors in investigations
In an interview with Bild , however, Amaral also admitted a mistake. The police had previously been proven that the investigation had been sloppy. Now Amaral said the on-site investigations should have been "more extensive, like a murder". Instead, the investigators approached the case “as if something had been stolen. "That was a mistake," he admitted.

The retired detective led the initial hunt when three-year-old Madeleine went missing from the Ocean Club holiday complex in Praia da Luz, Portugal, on May 3, 2007, and made her devastated parents official suspects.
Wrong - he was the office boy and never did anything.

Fair to say Amaral didn't even know he headed up a murder enquiry.

Although I suppose it is possible he lied, we talked about death by others, not murder in an (ironically) successful bid to keep his book from being declared libellous ....

There in black and white 'not the tiniest hint of suspicion against the parents'. I doubt if that will make any difference to the anti brigade though, no doubt Wolters will be 'in on it' too :insanity:

Ah but the haters have examined ALL the "evidence" - weather reports from Murky Mac, speech analysis, body language, outside the box thinking, dodgy T9 statements, translations done by an anti Mccann team, etc etc.

Wolters can not be relied upon because he has not said that he has examined any of those important things so how on Earth can he rule the Mccanns out?

Gonçalo Amaral, former inspector of the Judiciary Police who led the investigation of Maddie's case, considers that the main suspect in the crime "has nothing to do" with the child's disappearance and again points to the parents as being "mainly responsible".

In an interview with the German newspaper "Bild", for a special program about the case of Madeleine McCann , Gonçalo Amaral revealed that he has no doubts that the child's abduction "was simulated", adding that there is several evidence to prove this assertion. "A window that nobody knew for sure if it was open or closed, we were just told that the alleged kidnapper went in and out there and there were also fingerprints of the mother, which shows that she opened the window."

The former Judiciary Police inspector also mentioned that "the parents' behavior was strange, it almost seemed that nothing had happened. They were more concerned about not serving them tea than about the disappearance of their daughter, when they should have being in a state of shock or nervous, but there were no nerves. It was not a normal reaction," he described.

Gonçalo Amaral again pointed to Kate and Gerry McCann as being "mainly responsible for the disappearance", a thesis that goes back to the first months of the investigation, when the former inspector considered that the child had died in the apartment and that the abduction was a way of doing it. disappear the body and divert attention. For that reason, the former inspector revealed that Christian Brueckner , named as the latest suspect in the crime, "has nothing to do with Maddie's disappearance".

"In the first few hours, even before we were suspicious of the parents, we received a list of pedophiles who lived in the area and Brueckner was on that list. But how did someone break into the apartment without leaving fingerprints or other evidence", asked the former inspector, adding that "the public statements of the [German] prosecutor's office only served to construct the suspect, so that people would say 'what a monster this Brueckner is'".

The former inspector of the Judiciary Police also revealed that the investigation "should have been more complete", in the sense of framing the murder hypothesis, as according to Gonçalo Amaral there were "safe biological traces, fibers and hairs", which pointed in that direction. "It was a mistake" not to consider it, but "the superiors wanted us to approach the case as if something had gone missing" and that "has still prevented the correct clues from being found".

Gonçalo Amaral also pointed out that this was not the only inaccuracy during the investigation. Portuguese authorities were never able to access Maddie McCann's medical history , as "neither the parents nor the British authorities allowed access to this document".

The former investigator also left some remarks about the German prosecutor during the interview with the newspaper "Bild". Gonçalo Amaral considers that the prosecutor never read the provisional report signed by the former inspector in September 2007. "When the German prosecutor says that the suspect entered through the window, he did not read the file, he has no information about what we found in that room in the first inspection, otherwise I would not make those statements".

Hans Christian Wolters , Attorney General of the German Republic, revealed, in an interview on the same program, that the German prosecutor "was not interested in the opinion of a former Portuguese policeman". "We further assume that the ex-policeman does not have our files, so his conclusions are completely irrelevant," said Wolters.

Maddie McCann disappeared on May 3, 2007, from an apartment in a tourist village in Praia da Luz , in the Algarve, where she slept with her twin brothers. The latest investigations point Christian Brueckner as being the main suspect in the child's disappearance, given that at the time the suspect lived a few meters from the place where the McCann family was staying.

Fair bit of deflection going on last time Amaral was asked about CB
JAC: Very well. Gonçalo Amaral, at the time, one can now understand, and I wanted to ask you this: Christian Brueckner was one of the people who came to be identified as one of the people of interest for the investigation at the time, as far as it was reported there were 6… 600 people or over time it was accumulated 600 people time who could be of interest for the investigation…

GA: A lot of diligences within the process, surveys were done...

JAC: Was Christian Brueckner one of those 600 people or not?

GA: Only rereading the whole process finding...

JAC: You have no memory of that?

GA: I have been told that yes, that there went there knocking on the door, colleagues who are retired like me and who said that the person was not at home. But there were hundreds...

JAC: But, that is, but it must have been...

GA: They were in the hundreds, as, and not only of that type of typology but above all p.a.e.d.o.philes...

JAC: But note one thing Gonçalo Amaral, the, the question that is here... but the question that is here is...

GA: It could have been theft, we also...

JAC: We know that he served a sentence...

GA: …did a survey of burglars, namely burglary in apartments, and apparently this man was not in the list of apartment burglaries, he will have stolen…

JAC: Fuel...

GA: Yes, fuel.

JAC: Yes, but now what is known about... apparently what is known about this man is truly worrying, about... from various points of view...

GA: It's like I say, an almost perfect suspect...

JAC: But, but... but it is known that he has a long record of sexual crimes...

GA: Hmmm, hmmm.

Amaral comes from the same school of lying as bennett.

It doesn't matter how many times they are proven to be wrong - they repeat and repeat their lies. They know that the people sliming their way out of a primaeval swamp with believe them and repeat it in the cesspit CMoMM.

Yes Verdi I am talking about you.

hey amaral, you are the only true responsible, due to the fact that you, following the moment you became aware of her abduction, you decided to follow the way to your house, instead of showing your ugly face in Praia da Luz.

Thanks, Sal.

Sadly, Amaral is hardly Portugal's best export.

Spot on carana. The deputy director of the PJ doesn't appear to be a great fan of Amaral continually shooting his mouth off
One of the unavoidable names when it comes to Maddie's disappearance is the former PJ inspector from Portimão Gonçalo Amaral, who is still the target of criticism from the English press and who even had a legal dispute with the child's parents. On the subject, Carlos Farinha recalled that Gonçalo Amaral left the PJ in 2008 and that "after that many people worked and work in the process ", regretting that the name continues to be related to the investigation.

Braunschweig. Five euros in hand, standing in front of a fortune teller with a crystal ball in the courtroom - this is how a public prosecutor from Braunschweig is portrayed by the main suspect in the Maddie McCann case. Christian B. (44) makes fun of him in a drawing. But Hans Christian Wolters remains relaxed.

The cartoon also shows how those present sleep in court, Christian B. looks puzzled and Wolters wants to “buy” new information about the case for money. As Wolters from Braunschweig told NEWS38, he did not receive the drawing himself.

Braunschweig: Public prosecutor did not receive the drawing himself
On Monday, "Bild" sent the caricature to the prosecutor. “The paper was sent directly to the newspaper. It was only then that I found out about it. ”However, Wolters does not want to comment on the drawing itself.

it is not the first picture with which the main suspect in the Maddie McCann case would like to provoke the Braunschweig public prosecutor. Read more here <<<

Such behavior is also new to the lawyer: “In my 18 years of service, it has never happened to me that anyone has made a drawing.” What is surprising: Christian B. Wolters has not yet met himself - but he does talk about him fun. The 44-year-old is represented by his lawyer and has not yet commented on the allegations.

Christian B. made the drawing in the JVA Oldenburg in Lower Saxony. The 44-year-old is currently sitting there because of the rape of a 72-year-old. He was sentenced to seven years in prison. “He'll stay there for a while. He doesn't run away from us. "

About a year ago it became known that the Braunschweig public prosecutor was investigating Christian B. He is considered the prime suspect in the Maddie McCann case, who disappeared on vacation in Portugal in 2007 at the age of three.

Braunschweig: Investigations drag on for several months
Wolters does not want to announce any new information about the current state of the investigation. “We still have the suspicion. There is still no exculpatory evidence. There is also no evidence that Madeleine should not be dead. "

The investigations are expected to continue until 2022. According to the Braunschweig public prosecutor, the exchange with Portugal in particular is "very lengthy". "But that is the same for all procedures in which we have a foreign connection."

After the end of the investigation, the public prosecutor wants to check whether an indictment is possible. If that is the case, Christian B. has to appear in court. According to Wolters, he would then face life imprisonment.

" Bild " shows a documentary on the Maddie McCann case on Tuesday evening at 10 pm. (ldi)

Brueckner's lawyer has been remarkably quiet of late.

In a lengthy ruling on Tuesday [28-04-2015], Amaral was found guilty of libelling the pair and ordered to pay them €250,000 each in damages. The judge also banned further sale of his book, the Truth of the Lie.
