Maddie case: it was because of having found what they found in a secret cellar in Hannover de Brückner that the German police came to Arade to carry out searches

The BKA, the German federal police, asked the Judiciary Police (PJ) to, together, try to find traces of Christian Brückner's presence at the Arade dam, in Silves, in the Algarve. That was the “little paradise” of the person who, according to the German authorities, is the main suspect in the death of Madeleine McCann, the child who disappeared from the Algarve resort Ocean Club, in Praia da Luz, on the night of May 3, 2007.

Expresso knows that this operation, which took place in the last three days without apparently bringing any news about the case, is directly related to another one carried out near Hannover, Germany, in July 2020. At that time, the BKA also carried out excavations in a hovel and in a secret basement where Brückner lived and where the police found, among other objects, a bag of dirty clothes, a potted plant, a tarp and a backpack. All that material was collected for forensic analysis, but the investigation never publicly revealed the results of that diligence. Weeks earlier, the BKA found girls' bathing suits and six pens with eight thousand pedophile images hidden in a motorhome that Christian Brückner bought in 2010. The vehicle was on land next to an abandoned factory, near Braunschweig.

this is why he could not have been in Praia da Luz at the time of Madeleine´s abduction:

"He is now serving seven years in a German jail for raping a pensioner in Praia da Luz in 2005."

"Madeleine vanished from her family’s holiday apartment in May 2007 while her parents Gerry and Kate dined with pals nearby."

2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011.

from 2005 to 2011: seven years, which is the time he is in jail, he cannot be in two places at the same time.

He was released from a Portuguese prison for fuel theft in Dec 2006 but it was many years later before he was charged with the rape for which he is currently incarcerated.

The search by the police in three different countries, Portugal, England and Germany, continues unabated. The aim is to find remains and clues that definitively incriminate Christian Brueckner, the main suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann in 2007 in Portugal.

A few weeks ago the authorities ordered a search around the Arade reservoir, a town about 50 kilometers from the Algarve, where the British girl disappeared.

Specialized officers were trying to find a weapon and a video camera, which could be vital for the crime to be attributed to Brueckner. These were not found, but a step forward was taken when "relevant" findings were sent to the laboratory.
Soil material from wells

What was sent to the lab were several bags of soil material from wells, which were constructed near a waterline. This material will be analyzed to see if it matches the dirt found in the van of the main suspect, Christian Brueckner. In addition, the materials include clothing and plastic objects.

Christian Brueckner is alleged to have been a frequent visitor to the reservoir under investigation, especially for eight years between 1995 and 2007, the year Madeleine McCann disappeared.

The town is 50 kilometers from Praia Da Luz and local media have information of a clue that could prove them right.

"A positive match of the soil they already have from the vehicle with the soil they removed during the search will be another piece of evidence against him," were the statements picked up by Antena 3.

On the other hand, another of the objectives of this search was to find the pink pajamas that Madeleine McCann was wearing on 3 May 2007, the day on which she disappeared while her parents were having dinner in a restaurant and the sleeping child was abducted from inside her family apartment.

How bone-headed and idiotic is it to declare in the national press the reason and rationale behind releasing him?

I think this story should be treated with extreme caution.

I wonder why The Sun's source has chosen to remain anonymous?
German forensic experts are preparing to analyse items found during a three-day search at a reservoir 30 miles from Praia da Luz...
Are preparing ...

So they haven't. actually, begun, yet.

Yet, already, there are anonymous "sources", declaring to the word (and to Brueckner!) a plot to release him so he will lead them to further clues of what happened to Madeleine.

You really coulnd't make it up.

Except someone has.

Who?

Thanks sal. :s_thumbsup

I thought he would be in court for the other rapes this year. I don't for one minute believe he will be released any time soon. As for surveillance who in their right mind would release details of that for CB to know in advance?
