I think the press have been fairly restrained they have reported his criminal record and the fact he's a p.a.e.dophile and been found guilty and imprisoned for his assaults.
Parent-blaming is all-too-common these days, and usually the point is to make other parents feel better about their own parenting skills

The attorney may be looking for a source of funds and suing the British papers under the British onerous libel standard would be a nice way of actually getting paid on the matter.
