I think someone should disable the alarm on CG's clock. :s_biggrin

Mind you, this doesn't bode well for England's batters. whistle2.gif

Geoff Boycott is insisting that Australia should only have lost 2 wickets (so far).

These are the type of conditions (typical English conditions) where any touring team would benefit most from proper preparation.

England 27-1.

Lythe (by name, but not by batting, at least in this innings)

I'm shocked he managed to get 10. He's useless. USELESS.

He's so bad that I wasn't upset that he was out.

Just as HB predicted - Aus all out for nothing and England half out - but in a much better situation than Oz. Well done Anderson!

I notice HB listens to the radio commentary. So do I - with the TV on mute. Quality of the commentary is far better than TV. Only person I can't stand is Boycott - always so full of himself and knows better than anyone else.

How often has a test match been lost on the first day? Think it's happening here .... :s_sad

Australia all-out.

England set a tricky target.

Shades of Botham and Dilly at Hedingly all those years ago?

Perhaps.

Australia have done very well from their overnight position.

England set a target of 117.

Shades of Hedingly 1981 (Dilley and Botham)?

They did really well, as I feared they might.

Having no reviews didn't really help - the umpire seemed to have a dodgy neck; he could only move his head to say 'no'...nodding his head seemed beyond him.
