I did something I haven't done in a long while on Saturday. I went to Fratton Park to watch my own football team, Portsmouth, play the Latics (Oldham Athletic) play a match against Pompey.
Understandably, given how little rain we've had recently, sprinklers were out, before the start of the match, and again at half-time, watering the pitch.
Pompey lost, 2-1.
But that isn't the main reason I shan't be going again in a long time.

I was in the row of seats immediately behind the goal shown in the video footage above.
I thought the mindlessness had been largely taken out of the game, but it's clearly still there.
