Has this report dated 26 July been posted?

Don't think so:
German prosecutors allegedly want to take charge of a rape investigation linked to the man suspected of abducting Madeleine McCann, according to reports.

It is understood they have requested the court files and evidence held in Portugal relating to the unsolved 2004 rape of Irish woman Hazel Behan.

Investigators want to carry out their own inquiries to see if they can prove Christian Brückner - who has been named as the prime suspect in the disappearance of three-year-old Madeleine - committed the s-e-x attack on Ms Behan.

The attack on Ms Behan, a holiday rep, took place at her home in Praia da Rocha a half-hour drive east of Praia da Luz.

DNA samples including blood and semen collected from the crime scene by Portuguese police at the time have reportedly been destroyed. But a DNA profile is understood to have been obtained before the destruction.

Ms Behan waived her right to anonymity last month to say she believed the masked man who targeted her could have been Brückner.

She said the intruder had a distinctive mark on the top of his right thigh like the German suspect, who has a history of sexual assaults on women and children.

Last week, The Telegraph reported Portuguese police had reopened their investigation into Ms Behan’s unsolved rape.

But well-placed sources now say the Portuguese authorities have reportedly been asked to consider an official request from Germany to send the case files, including any DNA evidence, to prosecutors there so they can mount their own investigation.

However, it is understood no decision would be made until September after the judicial recess.

Maddie case. German prosecutor confirmed that Christian Brückner is suspected of another child sexual abuse, advances RTP

This is a 10-year-old German child who was allegedly abused on a beach in the Algarve in the same year that Madeleine disappeared. The crime took place in April 2007. Brückner, who has refused to give statements, is serving a prison sentence in Germany for drug trafficking.

The prosecutor investigating Madeleine McCann's case confirmed to RTP's "Friday at 9" program that Christian Brückner is suspected of another sexual abuse . This is a 10-year-old German child who was allegedly abused on a beach in the Algarve in the same year that Madeleine disappeared. The crime took place in April 2007, reveals the public station.

The German prosecutor adds that he is in close collaboration with the Portuguese authorities and that there will be other sexual abuse against children that will have happened in the Algarve at the same time and that are under the authorities' sights, adds RTP.

The investigation took on a new lease of life three years ago, after authorities received information that Brückner, drunk, boasted in a bar in Germany that he was involved in the kidnapping of the English child.

At the end of July this year, the British press reported that during the excavations in Hanover, next to the shed where Brückner lived, the police found a secret basement from which he would have removed some objects such as a laundry bag, canvas or a blue bucket. At that time, the Express revealed that the main purpose of the excavations was to find 'trophies', such as clothes or other personal objects, taken from Brückner's alleged sexual victims, including Madeleine, who disappeared in May 2007 in Praia da Luz, in the Algarve.

Brückner, who has refused to give statements, is serving a prison sentence in Germany for drug trafficking. A few months ago, BKA, the German police, found girls' bathing suits and about eight thousand pedophile images hidden in a motorhome that Brückner bought in 2010. The vehicle was on a site next to an abandoned factory, near Braunschweig, Germany .

In early July, Portuguese authorities inspected three wells separated by about 100 meters, near Vila do Bispo, in the Algarve. The wells were originally intended for irrigating agricultural plantations, but have not been used for more than 20 years. The searches had no effect.

The Judiciary Police is collaborating in this case with BKA and the British Scotland Yard. In Portugal, witnesses who could have information related to the suspect have already been interrogated.

The prosecutor investigating the case of Madeleine MacCann officially confirmed to the program Friday at 9 am on RTP that Christian Bruckner is suspected of another sexual abuse by a 10-year-old German child, on a beach, in the Algarve, Portugal, in the same year that Madeleine disappeared.

A crime, RTP knows, which happened on a beach in April 2007.

The German prosecutor adds that he is in close collaboration with the Portuguese authorities and that there will be other crimes, other sexual abuse against children that will also have happened in the Algarve at the same time and that are under the target of the authorities.

A report to see on RTP.

The suspect in the murder of Madeleine McCann has been extradited from Portugal to Germany twice, both for sexual crimes against children. Lived 22 years in Portugal.

The first occurred in 1999, well before the Praia da Luz case, and the second in 2017, ten years later.

The Friday at 9 had access to records of Christian Bruckner and will answer the question: how does someone with this kind of behavior and registration was never related to the disappearance of Maddie?

Christian Bruckner lived 22 years in Portugal.

Another hater-mantra bites the dust.

They have always insisted Madeleine's abduction was a one-off, in their eyes, 'proving' that Madeleine wasn't abducted, because perpetrators of Brueckner's type are repeat-offenders.

Brueckner is, indeed, a repeat offender, and there's plenty of evidence of his crimes.

The Judiciary Police confirms that, as part of the investigation into the disappearance of an English child, which took place in the Algarve in 2007, measures are still being taken to fully clarify the situation.

In close coordination with the German (BKA) and English (Metropolitan Police) authorities, in sharing information, carrying out formal investigative and expert acts, in Portugal and abroad, elements were collected that indicate the possible intervention, in the disappearance of the child, from a German citizen.

The suspect in question, 43, with a criminal record, resided in Portugal between 1996 and 2007 and is currently serving a prison sentence in Germany.

The family of the missing child was informed of these investigative developments by the English authorities.

The investigation continues.
Just a reminder for the haterfaith on Justice forum that has said: "so far there is absolutely nothing in the public domain that categorically ties him to the McCann case"

I ´m not creating excuses about him or about his crimes, but, it seems to me that the German police and the press are eager to make him a culprit of every attack on Praia da Luz, when he is not the only criminal in that area.

I agree with these comments:

"Budd4y,Tooting, United Kingdom, about 4 hours ago

He may be a terrible man but you can't pin this one on him."

"Brum and proud, Birmingham, United Kingdom, about 5 hours ago

These weekly articles are pointless, if the police in any country had any evidence they would act appropriately. The weak link the media find would never stand in a court of law"

this is now becoming an obssesion of both German police, of also the press about him.

----

I agree with his lawyer, but only about Madeleine:

"However, his lawyer Friedrich Fulscher maintains his client is innocent in relation to Madeleine McCann's disappearance and 'has nothing to hide'.

If Mark Perlin has kept even half an eye on these latest developments, he will understand why there is zero interest in his box of DNA tricks.

The Renault Scenic, hired 3 weeks after Madeleine's disappearance, was always irrelevant to the enquiry, which is why Mark Harrison never wanted it inspected in the first place.

This is the bit I can't comprehend at all:

Prosecutors claim to have proof the British youngster is dead but do not have enough evidence to charge their suspect.

To begin, that kind of stuff shouldn't be put into the public domain unless and until you are darned sure such devastating news has been imparted, directly and, above all, first, to loved-ones of the person concerned. The Germans insist that has been done; the McCanns insist it hasn't.

I don't suppose anyone is lying, but how does the muddle come about?
